Your Opportunity

In the HSE Specialist role, you will provide corporate-level HSE technical expertise, governance, and operational support across Primero s projects. You will support the consistent implementation of HSE systems, uplift capability across project teams, and deliver hands-on support to projects as required.

Location: Osborne Park (with site travel as required)

Your Key Responsibilities

* Support and improve Primero's HSE management systems, standards, and procedures

* Lead and support incident investigations, drive quality and corrective action close-out

* Lead and support assurance activities including internal and external audits 

* Coach and develop HSE/site leadership teams through mentoring, training, and in-field support

* Drive critical risk management implementation across all projects

* Analyse HSE data, trends, and reporting to support continuous improvement

* Support project readiness, mobilisation, client engagement, and contractor compliance

What You Can Do

* Tertiary qualification in WHS, OHS, Safety, or related discipline

* Minimum 5-8 years experience in HSE roles within construction, mining, or heavy industry

* Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and industry standards

* Experience with audits, investigations (ICAM), and HSE management systems

* Strong communication and influencing skills

* Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities

* High attention to detail and strong analytical capability

* Willingness to travel to project sites as required
