Your Opportunity

Primero is seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team on a major $1 billion EPC Greenfields and Brownfields upgrade of a Gold Processing Plant in Kalgoorlie. This is a long-term opportunity operating on a 2:1 FIFO roster.

In this role, you will lead and support a skilled team of Leading Hands, Mechanical Fitters, and Apprentices, overseeing daily operations and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll be responsible for managing activities to meet HSE, budget, and scheduling expectations, in line with Primero’s standards and client requirements.

Your Key Responsibilities

* Plan, allocate, and coordinate daily work tasks and resources.

* Maintain a safe work environment for all personnel and subcontractors.

* Lead daily pre-starts and ensure clarity on safety and work expectations.

* Liaise with clients and subcontractors on technical and minor contractual matters.

* Review and manage drawing changes to maintain construction accuracy.

* Submit daily supervisor reports and update project planners and cost controllers.

What You ‘Can Do’

* Mechanical Trade Certificate – Fitting (essential)

* 10+ years’ mechanical fitting experience, including at least 2+ years in a supervisory role on mining construction projects.

* Proven experience in EPC environments (highly regarded).

* Strong safety leadership and team management skills.

* Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.

* Sound knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and practices.

* Flexible and resilient, with the ability to manage variable workloads.

* White/Blue Card
