Your Opportunity
Primero is seeking an experienced and motivated Quality Inspector to be accountable for the execution of the Project Quality Management plan for a $1 Billion Design & Construct Project on a 2:1 FIFO Roster
Reporting to the Project Quality Manager, you will ensure that the Project Quality plan, procedures and system meets or exceeds industry best practice.
Your Key Responsibilities
• Maintaining proactive and productive relationships with key internal project and client stakeholders.
• Conduct quality control inspections against the project specifications, applicable standards, report on any findings and initiate corrective and preventative actions.
• Reporting Quality metrics as required to the Project Quality Manager.
• Conduct periodic audits and inspections of project packages.
• Provide input into weekly and monthly progress reports and statistical data analysis.
• Liaise and assist Engineers and Supervisors with welding documentation, verification and reporting of construction tasks to ensure compliance.
• Facilitate and support the project team with RFI, TQ, NCRs, registers and reports, and provide associated training and guidance where required.
• Prepare and update progress tracking registers for construction verification.
• Generate and maintain accurate verifying evidence in accordance with inspection and testing activities and adhere to Quality Management Plan requirements.
What You ‘Can Do’
• Promote Quality Management principles and strategies across the project to foster a ‘right-first-time’ philosophy.
• Liaise and assist Engineers and Supervisors with welding documentation, verification and reporting of construction tasks to ensure compliance.
• Ability to interpret and understand documented Standards, Specifications and inspection & Test requirements.
• Facilitate and support the project team with RFI, TQ, NCRs, registers and reports, and provide associated training where required.
• Participate in the planning and execution of the works, ensuring inspection schedules are implemented and project requirements are met.
• Prepare and update progress tracking registers for construction verification.
• Hold industry inspection qualifications in Welding (CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2), Coatings (NACE II or III) or Mechanical disciplines. Ideally dual qualified welding/mechanical and coating)
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
• Further related qualifications in Engineering, Construction or Quality Management will be well regarded.
• Prior experience in the mining, construction or resources sector.
