Your Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Construction Manager or Site Manager with demonstrated experience in Major Projects and ideally Gold Processing Plants to join our highly successful team on a $1Billion EPC Project located in the Goldfields region of WA on a 2:1 Roster.
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, this role is responsible for managing execution of works on site and providing high level leadership to Multiple Area Managers/Construction Managers.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safe completion of project scope, goals and deliverables in line with the contract
- Assisting the PM in management of project budgets, resources and staffing/labour to meet objectives and time frames
- Management of Internal and External relationships with key stakeholders
- Promote and ensure optimal results in safety and environmental management
- Regularly monitor the schedule and plan to ensure no slippage and delay.
- Review and understand project scope, goals and deliverables.
- Interpret plans and estimate costs and quantities of materials needed for construction
- Provide inputs into the Project CRAW and maintain the risk assessment as project phases change
- Achieve project KPI’s.
- Maintain good client relationships.
- Maintain team morale on site
- Manage in project personnel in line with the Primero Disciplinary Procedure.
What You ‘Can Do’
- Unwavering commitment and visible drive to ensure safety is the number one priority
- Experienced in the management of onsite multidisciplinary construction teams
- Competent in the development and management of construction schedules for all disciplines
- Able to manage and mitigate delays through redeployment of labour and schedule adjustment
- High level commercial acumen in recognising variations to the works under contract and forming extension of time claims
- Demonstrated experience in quality control and assurance
- Detailed understanding of commissioning phases and the role of construction in handing over to commissioning
- The ability to lead by example and inspire project teams in the field and in the office
- The ability to manage client expectations, protect the company image and influence outcomes
- Cost control skills including plant and labour management skills
- Competence in resolving HR/IR issues through adherence to the published Primero procedures
- Ability to forecast costs associated with changes to methodology and prolongation of plant and equipment
