Your Opportunity
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial Team. Reporting to the Commercial Manager and based in our Perth Head Office, you will be the EPC key interface between relevant stakeholders on all quantity surveying activities.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project
- Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjusting budget projections accordingly
- Provide detailed reports concerning the project to Primero management
- Prepare contracts and documents
- Set budgets for payments, inventory needs, and materials
- Analyse costs for maintenance and additional building needs
- Track changes in plans or constructions; update budgets
- Negotiate with contractors and subcontractors
- Identify potential financial or construction risks
What You ‘Can Do’
- Accreditation in a quantity surveying, commercial management or a related construction subject.
- 5-10 years of Industrial Construction Project experience, working with a BOQ and Pricing Schedule that spans all disciplines from Bulk Earthworks, Piling, Civil Concrete, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation
- Demonstrated experience in auditing Subcontractor quantity progress claims, reconciling tender as contracted BOQ’s against actual installed/consumed quantities
- Estimating experience, financial experience, construction experience, or related fields
- Proficient computer and Microsoft Excel skills
