Your Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Senior SMP Estimator to join our Business Development & Pre-Contracts Team. Permanent position based in our Osborne Park office and reporting to the Estimating Manager.

Your Key Responsibilities

* Estimate Budget and Lump-Sum tender packages in accordance with Tender Procedure,

* Contribute to the execution methodology,

* Prepare, manage and assess vendor packages,

* Estimate Direct and Indirect costs consistent with the agreed execution methodology,

* Identify Project risks and opportunities and qualify or price as advised by the Bid Manager,

* Provide input into tender programmes,

* Assist Bid Manager and Tender Coordinator with documentation requirements,

* Prepare for and participate in tender review and approval meetings,

* Ensure close-out of all actions raised during review,

* Participate in Client tender presentations and tender clarification process as required,

* Prepare handover documentation to Project team for successful Project awards.

What You ‘Can Do’

* Ideally you will have 7+ years experience in an estimating role, preferably with a construction contractor with EPC direct-hire labour, plant and materials experience. This role would also suit someone with relevant site based experience (Tradesperson, Supervisor, Project Engineer) on mining construction sites looking to transition away from FIFO rosters to a permanent Perth based role.

* Previous exposure to Lump-Sum and Cost-Plus Contract types, as well combinations of multiple contract types

* Proven experience as an Estimator or similar role in the WA Resources sector for project values ranging from $20m up to $500m+.

* Degree qualified Engineering (or equivalent) or SMP Trade with relevant industry specific field experience.

* Experience reviewing and interpreting drawings, scope of works and specifications.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

* Intermediate user of Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel.

* Sound commercial acumen including understanding project cost and scheduling.
