Your Opportunity
We are looking for a Lead Process Engineer to join the Process Engineering team continuing the development and implementation of the metallurgical functions with in Primero.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Technical direction, advice, and control of the Process work.
- Scope definition, estimation, and progress control of the Process engineering activities
- Planning of man hour budgets, schedules, manpower loadings and staffing requirements, by skill and experience, to satisfy project requirements and direction given by the Engineering Manager
- Co-ordination of Process engineering design and drafting
- Complete complex process design activities including simulation.
- Liaison with other discipline Lead engineers on technical issues and engineering matters.
- Assisting asset/client Engineers in the definition of the Process engineering work in any project, design approach and criteria, procedures for engineering work and timely production of deliverables
- Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Business Unit.
- Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the Business Unit and understand and follow OH&S procedures.
What You ‘Can Do’
- Bachelor of Chemical, Metallurgical or Minerals Processing Engineering or related disciplines (recognised by IEAust).
- 12+ years’ experience in engineering, operation and/or commissioning works
- Experience in the resource (mining/oil & gas) industries
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as a team or individually.
- Strong perception and implementation of HSE
- Ability to be sufficiently flexible and resourceful to cope with the inherent load fluctuations of the Profession.
- Deliver a quality product on schedule.
- Possess a strong understanding of applicable codes of practice.
- Ability to read and interpret specifications, schematics, and engineering drawings.
